Wait for the breeze; stay in a port
From the Edo to the Meiji period, Sagiura was a port of call for trading ships known as Kitamaebune. It prospered as a calm, good port to wait for favorable sailing winds.
With its rows of red-tiled houses, this nostalgic fishing town is surrounded by quiet bays, deep green mountains, and warm-hearted people; it's a place where time passes slowly and peacefully.
Just as sailors who visited this port once rested their sails and waited for the wind to pick up, we invite you to leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend a moment to heal your mind and body.

A quiet and peaceful stay at the samurai residence
RITA Izumi-Fumoto is a "Samurai Residence Hotel" comprising three samurai residences—Miyaji Residence, Kato Residence, and Tsuchimochi Residence—spread across Izumi Fumoto, the largest samurai outpost of the Satsuma Domain.
The townscape of stone walls, which has existed for 400 years, was built as a defensive outpost by the Satsuma samurai.
While retaining the historical style of the samurai residences, we have renovated them into spaces where you can feel at ease. Inside the buildings, traditional crafts that were once the side occupations of Satsuma samurai are on display.
Enjoy a moment of history and tradition in Izumi Fumoto, Kagoshima.

Yame city, Fukuoka
Accommodation that feels like home
RITA Yame-Fukushima's story began with a meeting with local volunteers who had renovated approximately 80 townhouses within 20 years. A group of local artisans have restored all of the hotel's guest rooms using traditional construction methods. The techniques of these carpenters, plasterers, and other artisans from around the Yame area have created and nurtured the captivating and nostalgic views you can see today. The town has been passed down through the generations thanks to the continuation of Yame's traditional way of life. All of these features collectively make up the "Yame-Fukushima lifestyle". All visitors can experience the Yame-Fukushima lifestyle through our unique hospitality.
